The Supreme Court won’t hear oil company petitions in a pair of climate misinformation lawsuits from Delaware and New Jersey, the second certiorari denial in similar cases since last month.
Justices declined to weigh in on two lawsuits brought by the city of Hoboken, N.J., and the state of Delaware, according to orders on Monday. The city and state are part of a landscape of lawsuits looking to put oil giants on the hook over claims they lied about fossil fuel connections to climate change.
