New York’s cannabis dispensary licensing process has been temporarily halted in response to a lawsuit from a group of veterans who say the state overstepped its constitutional authority by creating a new type of dispensary license and limiting eligibility.
The state can’t issue or process conditional adult-use dispensary licenses until New York Supreme Court Justice Kevin Bryant issues a decision in a separate but related case brought by the Coalition for Access to Regulated & Safe Cannabis also challenging the constitutionality of the licensing program.
