A Miami-based independent visual artist has sued pioneering Latin trap rapper Anuel AA for allegedly featuring a sculpture in his music videos without proper licensing.
The artist, Juan Rojas, says Anuel AA featuring his sculpture, “Yo amo Miami” in music videos and social media promotion violated his copyright, according to the complaint filed in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York on Aug. 18. The sculpture is depicts the words “Yo amo Miami” arranged in a cross with red neon lights.
