National Labor Relations Board member Gwynne Wilcox will be renominated for another term, the White House announced Friday.
Although Wilcox joined the NLRB as a Democratic appointee in 2021, her term is set to expire in late August because the five-year term for each board seat runs whether it’s filled or not.
The NLRB has operated with a 3-1 Democratic majority since former board chair John Ring’s term expired in December.
Pairing nominees from both parties eases Senate confirmation, according to NLRB watchers.
