DuPont Sued for Water Contamination by Kidney Cancer Patient

E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Co. is facing claims that it contaminated West Virginia and Ohio watersheds with toxins that led to a resident developing kidney cancer, according to a complaint filed in federal court.

The company recklessly allowed the discharge of perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) into the environment surrounding its manufacturing plant, Tammie Ruble alleged in her complaint, filed Thursday in the US District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.
