A job applicant suing Marten Transport Ltd. requested preliminary approval of its proposed $520,000 class settlement, signaling the end of an action over the trucking company’s 2021 cyberattack.
Scott Linman sued Marten alleging his and other job applicants’ personal information, including dates of birth and Social Security numbers, was improperly accessed during a data breach. Linman asked the US District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin on Aug. 18 to approve a settlement deal the parties reached earlier this year.
