Alabama’s ban on puberty-blocking drugs and cross-sex hormones for transgender minors can take effect pending a court decision on its constitutionality, the Eleventh Circuit said Monday.
The US, transgender minors, the minors’ parents, two doctors, and a pastor failed to show that they’re likely to succeed in a case testing a law that criminalizes prescribing medications intended to “alter” a minor’s gender or delay puberty, the US Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit said.
