Official: FTC confirms that OnGuardOnline.gov was hacked today

On Guard online have released an official statement admitting that the site was hacked today and confirming today rumors.

Statement from FTC Office of Public Affairs Director Cecelia Prewett:

“The partnership site OnGuardOnline.gov run by the Federal Trade Commission was hacked earlier today. The FTC takes this malicious act seriously. The site has been taken down and will be brought back up when we’re satisfied that any vulnerability has been addressed.”
